Free guided tours in Dubrovnik Old Town

During the time of the Republic, the Rectors of Dubrovnik governed for a period of one month only before a new one was elected (to prevent corruption and power rule). During this time he lived, alone, without his family, leaving the palace only when engaged upon some state business.

 

This is just one detail from Dubrovnik’s longstanding history which you can discover on free guided tours organised by Dubrovnik Tourist Board.

English guided tours are offered: 

Every Saturday (5 November 2016 – March 2017),
Leaving at 10 a.m.
in front of the Tourist Information Centre (TIC) at Pile (Brsalje 5).

The professionally guided tour of the city will be followed by a free performance of the Folklore Ensemble Lindjo beginning at 11:30 a.m. in front of the Church of St. Blaise, and in case of rain, it will take place in the Kino Sloboda movie theatre.

Please note:
Guests must register for this free tour by 6 p.m. the day before (Friday) in the TIC Pile (phone: +38520312011; E-mail: ured.pile@tzdubrovnik.hr), with the condition that they are staying a minimum stay of three nights in Dubrovnik. The offer is aimed at individual visitors and does not apply to group arrangements.
