Adriatic Luxury Hotels Company (ALH) aspires to deliver the highest standard of luxury in a sustainable way and continue to grow responsibly and sustainably. The success of its business is inextricably linked to the success of the community in which ALH hotels are based and in which they operate.

Recognising this, it is important to us that community benefits from having ALH there. We believe we have a responsibility to deliver positive, lasting impacts that create shared value for our community, our employees, our guests and our Company.

We seek to align our support for the community with our core business activities, as we believe this alignment can bring lasting and sustainable benefit to local community.

The development of the local community, and therefore the development of the destination as a whole, is crucial for the future development of our business. The most significant part of ALH community management project is aimed specifically to activities that directly or indirectly affect the development of local community.

Projects which were supported by ALH trough sponsorship and donations projects worth 1,520,409.92 KN in year 2019 and 2020 include the number of activities towards the community including culture, art, sport, infrastructure, environment protection, education and humanitarian aid.

CULTURE:

Providing support to numerous cultural and artistic projects such as: Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Dubrovnik Winter Festival, Aklapela Festival, Epidaurus festival, ‘Tišina molim’ Festival, Festa Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik Festiwine, Festival of Mediterranean Film, Unseen Festival in Cavtat, Konavle Art Festival, Good Food Festival, Festival “Ana u Gradu”, Accapella Festival Omiš, numerous projects of Dubrovnik Symphonic orchestra. ALH also continuously supports individual artistic projects and initiatives from young artists, while providing support in organizing different exhibitions and events like Lena Kramarić exhibition in Austria, Slovenia and Dubrovnik; support of Dubrovnik Art Gallery exhibition on Dubrovnik’s artists on Venice Biennale.

EDUCATION:

ALH sponsors students and Dubrovnik hospitality school students through programme of special education and training skills aimed to ensure a good educational infrastructure for lifelong learning, as well as further development, education and skill mastery of our employees (e.g. participation on World Cocktail Championships – China 2019 for one of our employees).

ENVIRONMENT:

Providing support and cooperating with local organizations to support sustainable livelihoods while also protecting natural resources. Dubrovnik and Mljet Eco actions are some of the yearly efforts to clear the Adriatic underwater to preserve the beauty, cleanliness and biodiversity of the Adriatic Sea.

INFRASTRUCTURE:

Providing financing to increase additional direct flights to Dubrovnik. Supporting projects for enhancing the safety and infrastructural needs in local community.

SPORTS:

Providing support to local sports clubs (concretely VK Bellevue, VK Cavtat, VK Jug and HNK Slaven Gruda), sport associations and events. Financing tournaments and sport activities in a community, like Earth, Sea and Fire Triathlon.

HUMANITARIAN AID AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Most of the financial support is planned for specific humanitarian actions and need. ALH has helped to provide equipment for sensory room & neurofeedback device purchase for Dubrovnik General Hospital, AC units for treatment centre for children and adults with cerebral palsy in Metković, as well as support the Department of Pediatric oncology on KBC Rebro in Zagreb. Significant funds were also donated to Republic of Croatia National Relief Fund following the disastrous earthquake in Sisak-Moslavina county. In collaboration with Croatian Tourism Association(HUT) Senior trip was organised for elementary and high school kids from earthquake affected area.
