Museum Night 2016

Friday night (January 29th) sees Dubrovnik Museums open their doors free of charge to the general public as part of the nationwide ‘Museum Night’ project.

Admission to the Cultural History Museum (Rector’s Palace), Ethnographic Museum (Rupe/The Holes Granary), Archaeological Museum (Revelin Fortress), Festival Palace (Dubrovnik Summer Festival) and the Maritime Museum (St.John Fortress) is free from 18:00. Doors will close at 01:00 on Saturday morning so there’s plenty of time to see all the exhibitions you like.

A special program of events has also been organised including workshops, lectures, demonstrations and specialised tours. If going with kids some of our recommendations are:

  • Maritime Museum:
    • Underwater Photography workshop (18:00 – 18:30)
Visitors will learn about the equipment needed for underwater photography and hear about the experiences of the photographer Dalibor Andres.
  • Festival Palace
    • Puppetry Workshop for Kids (18:00-20:00)
