Sea Kayaking around the City Walls and Lokrum island
A half day adventure on the Adriatic Sea starts beneath the ancient fort Lovrjenac in the small port of Pile, next to restaurant Orhan. Accompanied by English speaking tour guides, you will set off to explore caves and the beauty of mysterious Lokrum Island, also called 'The island of love'. After paddling around the island you will head across the bay to the hidden cave beach called Betina, and enjoy a break for snorkelling and sandwiches. The only way to reach this peaceful beach is from the sea, so you will enjoy a private and unique view of the city walls, while you discover the richness of the submarine world . After a short break on the beach you will paddle along the coast toward the city walls. Beaches, palm trees, boats, villas and hotels form part of this tour. Paddling under the impressive city walls and rocks on which they were built, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Pearl of the Adriatic from a different perspective. This is unquestionably the most beautiful part of Dubrovnik sea adventure.
Get out of the city and get off the beaten track in 2-seater buggies! Even though the starting point is within easy reach of the old town, this guided expedition will take you to locations rarely seen by visitors to Dubrovnik, including hilltop fortresses and a Croatian ranch.
Dubrovnik Buggy Safari is the ultimate fun activity for people of all ages. The program lasts about one hour and you get to drive off-road, see sights from the recent war, fortresses, animals, woods, dramatic sights and an amazing 360°view of the whole Dubrovnik area, islands and mountains. A Mediterranean style ranch buggy tour will take you through typical Dalmatian rocky landscape, enjoying the natural scenery and wildlife. It is not only a fun time for the one who’s driving. However, at sunset it will look much different. So keep your cameras handy.
Explore Dubrovnik's countryside and wind-blown beaches on a riding holiday in the Konavle area.
This tour, suitable for absolute beginners, starts at Kojan Koral where the guests are introduced to the instructor, the horses, and the equipment. An introductory ride follows in the corral and leads to the trail. The route offers guests the best possible experience of the region of Konavle and Dubrovnik countryside (relaxing but at the same time exciting).The trail is 11 km long; it leads through olive groves, and pine forest towards the famous rocky seaside of Konavle. At the top of the hill (Velje Brdo), half way through the ride, the tour takes a break where guests can enjoy the unforgettable and spectacular views of the coast.
This safari (no experience necessary) starts at Kojan Koral where guests are introduced to the instructor/guide given full instruction about ATV handling/driving and safety. After the introduction, the Safari continues through beautiful olive groves, pine forests, along Konavle’s amazing rocky coast to the picturesque village of Cilipi, including a visit to the Konavle Country House. The tour continues through Konavle valley and a unique Dalmatian bush crossing over the river. On way back to Kojan Koral, the drive goes over the route overlooking the Konavle valley, along an old train path, with the famous "Chiro" steam engine.
Cliffs and Beaches Kayaking Tour
Cliffs and Beaches is an easy-going sea kayaking tour in Dubrovnik with a treat awaiting at the end - perfect places for cliff jumping and lounging on big sandy Šunj beach. Paddle along majestic limestone cliffs and enjoy Lopud island, famous for its sandy beaches.
After instruction in kayaking techniques and safety, circumnavigation of the island begins. Paddling to the southwest, you’ll immediately have views of majestic limestone cliffs towering above. But these rocky phenomena also have a hidden treat: caves. Guides will steer you to some of these secret getaway spots, where you can snorkel and get an insider’s perspective on the island’s formation.
For those brave souls who also want a bird’s-eye view, these are perfect and safe places for cliff jumping. At the halfway point of excursion, the group will stop for lunch at the sandy beach of Šunj. After, you’ll swim, lounge, or try the popular traditional game picigin, something like free-form volleyball played in the water. Refreshed, you’ll complete the round trip journey before heading back to Dubrovnik in the late afternoon.
Konavle Biking & Wine Tasting
The excursion starts at the village of Gruda in Konavle. Ride bikes to the small village roads that run across the lively Konavle region. The trail takes you through orchards, cornfields, vineyards, blueberry fields… across the bridges of over the Ljuta and Konavočica rivers. The main route is easy to cycle on, quite flat with just few short climbs. More experienced cyclists can arrange a more challenging route with their tour guide upon meeting. Occasional short breaks are made for getting acquainted with the historical and natural characteristics of the Konavle region, such as a visit to the Franciscan monastery, the old mill in Ljuta village, and the waterfalls of river Ljuta. Taking small village roads, you return to Gruda via Dubrovnik wine cellars, where guests can taste and buy famous wines produced from local grapes.
